Alison Whyte // Evelyn

Alison Whyte is one of Australia’s most accomplished and celebrated actors, with an outstanding reputation in theatre, television and film. Her television credits include: The Kettering Incident, Glitch, The Doctor Blake Mysteries, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Tangle, Satisfaction, City Homicide, Marshall Law, Sea Change, Good Guys Bad Guys, G.P. and the critically acclaimed Frontline, amongst many others. Amongst her numerous films credits are The Dressmaker, Centreplace, The Jammed, Subterano and Saturday Night. Whyte is the recipient of numerous awards: 2009 ASTRA Award for Satisfaction, 2008 TV Week Logie for Satisfaction, 2005 Green Room Award for Dinner, 1997 TV Week Silver Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actress, as well as many nominations. Alison won both a Green Room Award and a Helpmann Award in 2010 for her outstanding portrayal of ‘Elizabeth’ in Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of Richard lll. Alison won the 2013 Green Room Award for The Bloody Chamber.

Nathaniel Dean // Jack

Nathaniel Dean graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (Sydney) in 1999. Since then, Dean has appeared in multiple theatre productions, TV & film roles globally.  His film credits include Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant, Jennifer Kent’s The Nightingale and Walking on Water, for which he received the Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 2002.  Dean’s other notable film credits include Somersault for which he received an AFI award nomination, Candy, The Rage in Placid Lake and The Final Winter. In 2018 Dean starred in the role of Macbeth for The Australian Shakespeare Company. He also played the lead role in the acclaimed production The Secret River, which he was nominated for a Helpmann Award for Best Actor. He reprised this role in 2019 for the Edinburgh International Arts Festival and the National Theatre in London, receiving rave reviews.

Nicholas Clifford // Writer & Director

Nicholas Clifford is a graduate of the directing program at the Australian Film Television & Radio School in Sydney, Australia. He is the writer and Director of the AWG Monte Miller award winning screenplay The Handyman, and the Story Pros Grand Prix award winning feature film screenplay Bella & The Bear (2017).   In 2013 Nicholas wrote and directed the Tropfest Winning short film adaptation We’ve All Been There (2013). He is also the writer director of Tropfest finalist and award winning short film Kitchen Sink Drama (2012).  Nicholas is a founding partner of Melbourne based production company, Truce Films.

Elise Trenorden // Producer

Elise Trenorden is an award winning film and commercials producer based in Melbourne, Australia. In 2018 she produced the Short Film Palme d’Or winner All These Creatures, which has been screened at over 180 festivals internationally. The film has won over 35 awards and has had a number of jury mentions. She has worked with some of the most creative minds in Australia and has built a network of like-minded storytellers who share her passions for powerful, cinematic work. In 2020 Elise became Executive Producer and Partner at Truce Films where she will continue to develop future narrative projects.

Charlie Sarroff // Cinematographer

Originally from Melbourne, now based in Los Angeles,  Sarroff ’s narrative ventures have earned him acclaim in Australia, nabbing several awards from the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS), as well as on the international film festival circuit. His feature debut Relic, directed by frequent collaborator Natalie Erika James for AGBO, premiered at 2020 Sundance and was lauded for Sarroff’s largely terrific cinematography with patient, observant frames accumulating mood steadily.  His most recent feature, Pink Skies Ahead, shot under the direction of Kelly Oxford for Divide/Conquer is a highly anticipated film at the upcoming 2020 SXSW Film Festival.

Rennie Watson // Production Designer

Rennie Watson is an Australian Production Designer working across film, television and commercials. He graduated from Swinburne University with an Honours Degree in Design: Film and Television. In 2018 Watson was the Production designer on the stop motion animated short Lost and Found, which premiered at Berlinale in and was shortlisted for an Academy Award in 2019  for best short animated film. The film has won multiple awards both nationally and internationally. Coming from a theatre background Watson developed skills in set design and construction, puppeteering, puppet making, costuming, prop sourcing and visual effect make up, with a passion to build and create things using his hands when it comes to visual effects where possible. Watson is currently mentored by Production Designer Josephine Ford (Animal Kingdom, Judy and Punch) through the APDG (Australian Production Design Guild).

Dan Lee // Editor

Dan Lee has over 18 years of experience as an editor, starting out as an assistant for Karl Sodersten on the award winning Australian film “Lantana”, to having an extensive career cutting commercials, short films, music videos, animations and documentaries. Many of which have received high recognition, not only in Australia but many festivals around the world. In 2018 Dan was the editor of Short Film Palme d’Or winner All These Creatures that screened at over 180 festivals worldwide, where he won the award for best editing at Flickerfest in 2019. In 2019 he edited the recipient of the MIFF RMIT University Award for Best Documentary Short Film Lost Rambos.
